Igen er Barroche kommet i top i Châteauneuf smagning, denne gang i WineAdvocate's "Executive" smagninger. Emnet var top-cuvées i årgang 2005, og kun de bedste vine deltog. Ialt 34 dygtige smagere smagte blindt.Nr 1 var Barroche "Finacé", nr 3 var Vieux Donjon."Sure, we had a few disappointments. But (it was) more than offset by spectacular performances by the top wines. In particular, our winning wine, 2005 Domaine La Barroche “Fiancée” was a revelation! And, while most of the 2005 CdPs tasted were already delicious, we strongly suspect that they will improve with time. Executive Wine Seminars har holdt smagninger siden 1981 af nogle af Verdens bedste vine, som regel i New York. Firmaet er i dag del af WineAdvocate.com og dermed gruppen omkring Robert Parker.
Af andre smagninger i ny tid har været en Zind Humbrecht 2007 smagning med tilstedeværelse af Olivier Humbrecht i egen høje person.
